"My husband and I stayed at the Duck Inn Lodge for our recent elopement at Glacier National Park. We absolutely loved our stay… The owners were amazing and surprised us with a cooler full of refreshments on our wedding night. They were very accommodating. The room was clean and so comfortable."

A RIVERSIDE INN

About
The Duck Inn Lodge

On the banks of the Whitefish River since 1984, The Duck Inn Lodge is a boutique inn just minutes from downtown Whitefish, the slopes of Whitefish Mountain, and the gates of Glacier National Park. With just sixteen rooms, most facing the water, it's a riverside escape where the day starts at breakfast and ends by the fireplace, with the river running gently past your balcony.

Small Inn. Big Welcome.

Just sixteen rooms, each with its own fireplace and most overlooking the Whitefish River. The Duck Inn is small enough that your innkeepers know your name by the second morning, yet thoughtfully laid out so every guest has the quiet, the comfort, and the space to truly settle in.

Local Spirit

Every morning is unhurried. Breakfast in the dining room, conversations with travelers from anywhere in the world, then off into Whitefish or out to Glacier. Hospitality is warm and a little bit personal. The kind you only find at a small inn.

Wellness in Nature

With the Whitefish River running just outside your door, nature is never far at The Duck Inn. Ducks glide past at dawn, herons stalk the reeds, and the occasional black bear strolls the bank at breakfast. From the riverside porch that opens onto the water to evenings in the lounge by the fireplace, the inn creates space for reflection, conversation, and connection. Twenty-five miles east lies Glacier National Park, the Crown of the Continent. Wherever you wander, the wild is never far.

Simple Pleasures

Part of your stay at The Duck Inn is the chance to enjoy meaningful, uncomplicated moments without leaving the property. Cast a line from the riverbank, settle into the great room with a board game and a fire, or share a cup of coffee on the porch as the river drifts past. Whether you're reading, working remotely, or simply slowing down, the inn offers inviting spaces designed for comfort and connection.
